    Crown = Sheffield
    Lion = Silver
    k = 1902
    Makers mark looks like "S & Co Ld", but I haven't been able to find a matching one with that quatrefoil mark

    Or does it just look like an S, and is it actually a B?
    Then it could be 'Boardman, Glossop & Co Ltd''

    Looks like an "S" at first glance, but that mark you found looks spot on, Marote. Pixelation of the photo may be playing tricks with the eyes.

    I agree with Boardman Glossop and Co, Limited. That one is obviously sterling with the lion mark. The bowl is clearly marked as silverplate but not marked with country of origin or date. Cannot read the name beyond "White......." and could not find it in any of my US maker resources. I doubt that it is from Great Britain.

    Can you see any of the additional letters?

    Is that a Sheffield assay mark?

    Thank you all for chiming in and giving me some insight on these. My gut told me to bid on these, and I’m calling it, “money well spent”! I might be addicted….

    Does anyone happen to know what the value might be? I’m thinking if putting it up for auction, but I’m not sure yet. And I don’t know where to put it up for auction (I’m assuming eBay is probably not the best for silver). I have a cheap scale that says 9.88 oz, but it may be off.

    the value is uncertain ....so start at the current melt weight ...... the metal will hold it's value
