I bought this little 7" tall blown glass shade and can't find anything to compare it to.
There are no markings or signatures. I am trying to determine age and what it was used for. As you can see it is paneled and has a lot of flaws and air bubbles. The fitter end is 1/2" deep so maybe not for an oil lamp, but maybe fairy lamp or candle lamp?

Think we are circa 1890 on this. What is the diameter of the shade opening? Agree that it doesn't look quite wide enough to be for an oil lamp (or gas for that matter). However, something like this is what immediately came to mind.

I honestly hadn't thought it could be that old
    Thanks @verybrad
    The fitter measures 2 1/2 " diameter
