I found this very old (I think) chair today. It has obviously been reupholstered but I see dowls being used in its construction.

    Let me know your thoughts!

The old upholstery doesn't happen to be under the new, does it? It's very distracting.

Depending on size, maybe a vanity bench/seat.

Looks like it measures about 27” tall x 27” wide x 22” deep.

Looks like the original fabric is gone. I took some inside pics. Maybe they can help? IMG_1367.jpeg IMG_1372.jpeg IMG_1374.jpeg IMG_1376.jpeg IMG_1377.jpeg

Do you think the back is finished wood that's been covered?

My initial thought was possibly Edwardian ,but those feet have thrown me for a loop. They look like little hooves . I also thought vanity bench.

A quick search shows that most furniture with hoof feet is French. I'd really want to take that fringe off and look at the back.

Getting there! I am not an expert by any means. Carefully pulling out staples. It does look like the backing is wood so far. Do you think I should take all of the new fabric off?
