Seconded. I thought it was a vase, but couldn't see a hole.

The story will be over on the rant/rave. Spent $20 at an estate sale for two Verdite mini carvings, two Swarovski critters. (wanted the cat; her ear is chipped..darnitt) a sterling thimble (so marked inside), and.... an Avram Palatnik lucite giraffe. Sounds good, but OY. The stuffed kitty was a gift from a friend. The second figure is a mouse that I had to reglue when I got home.

I found this interesting lamp today. Perhaps someone made it?

It does have some silver markings T.W. EPHS a Star and a Triangle which from what I have read was made by Thomas White (Sheffield). Real or fake - I don’t know.

The shade is metal as well. Bulls horn (not sure if it’s real-looks painted).

Either way I thought it was such a unique piece I had to have it!

Electro Plate nickel silver....... not silver..
    Cow horn, nice colors !
what's on the shield , if anything ?
It's missing a part between those two front pegs, and I can't say the shade is original..or not ....but all in all a funky item..:happy:

possibly....but I find it just too over the top for that delicate wood and horn ...

That’s bonkers, in a good way. Someone took a mid to late nineteenth century British giant snuff mull or perhaps a mounted trophy and converted it to a lamp.

That is very fun and different. What a unique look! Definitely silver plate.

    Hi All,

I've recently bought this great looking and unusual brass lamp base. Is quite heavy at just under 4kg.

Any idea on age, or manufacturer?

It has a crown makers mark on base and 4 numbers but I haven't been able to identify.

Though two horns are much more common, pretty sure that's a gong stand - the gong would hang from the two rings at top, the striker resting in the notched pegs...

Cool painting. That mirror is great buy. I have always like those. Here they also sell for very good money.

The painting is really vibrant and luckily for me if I choose to keep it, fairly small in size lol.

I picked up a different vintage antique-style mirror last year and was surprised that it was worth as much as it was, so I knew this one would be too. I've always loved the real deal versions though, and I def can't afford those, so this will do for now. :D

Lumii_20240504_155415500.jpg It's a rainy day here and I am sorting and tagging jewelry to sell. This has been in my costume box for years, never gave it a second thought. I cleaned it and tested it on the Presidium. View attachment 483362 I am posting it on the jewelry board, asking for your input. Thanks.
