Carved Ovid Vase Help please

    I don't know. Ebay is so iffy anymore. But I guess that's why I'm asking.

    I don't know about Vernon Kilns, but sometimes that off-white colour is called ivory.

    I cannot disagree...but it's the main game, if not the only one. You might look for a Vernon Kilns forum, which may offer ideas for a sales venue other than Bay. Good luck!

    You might try one of the better auction houses,commissions can be steep,but more deep pockets viewing.

    The only reason I mention the color is because supposedly they were all made in white blue an pink. At least according to what I read.

    Try Magic Eraser on the rub marks, you never know :)

    I did not see this posting from last year until just now. Do you still have the vase? I’ve not seen it in any auctions. From the photos and your description the glaze color is “Straw” which is a pale yellowish tone not quite white. I imagine the vase was produced in most of VK’s colors in its day - but until I see or know of an example I only include the colors I know on my Pinterest page. Steve
