    I have the opportunity to buy this tomorrow for half off but it torn on it. It has very old markings for 14k easily early 1900s or late 1800s? I can't tell.... I also can't tell what type of chain it is or if it's just heavily worm? Does anyone have any ideas?? The clasp doesn't match the color at all and is a later replacement

    Could it have started life as a watch chain? Yes, link style is curb.

    mine too.......the casting on the links is not as fine as I'd expect for a bracelet .... and the clasp shows heavy wear.....

    funny color for gold ....:wacky::wacky:

    I'd put the color to the background, plus lighting plus incidental variances...it's always hard to tell what the color of various precious stones an' metals are on the www.

    It's hard to tell with the red background but it is an antique rose gold color

    There are some colors, no matter what you do, look off when taken on an iPhone (not sure if Spart used an iphone for the pics). Yellows and other warm colors always seem to be troublesome. It looks pretty accurate for a split second, then the auto color correct kicks in and throws things off. It does seem to be predicated on the background to a certain extent.

    If it’s brass, it will smell heavily metallic.

    OK I bought it for half off and low and behold........ it's 9k gold lol!! I still got my money's worth of gold and they were understanding when I brought it up to them. I still kept it because it matches a lot of my older rings that are rose gold. It's mostly copper with silver and gold. I'll post a better photo of the color.

    How old do you all think it might be?
