    Wonder whether in the beginning they took inspiration from the weaver bird's nests. Maybe we should reconsider the designation "Stone Age."

    It is such an ephemeral material, in the long run. Makes you think about how much of our material culture has been lost - on the other hand, the traditions seem to have persisted for an amazing amount of time.

    What a stunning collection...an' from such an ancient time!
    Hard to imagine how just-right the conditions had to have been to prevent complete disintegration over that much time!

    Absolutely. Conditions must have been near perfect. Like a science experiment scenario.
