That's not a jade color I'm familiar with. It does look an awful lot like rhodochrosite.

Came home from the Charity shop this morning with these items. £1 for the rose quartz, £1.40 for the filigree brooch, £2.50 for the silver ball pendant and earrings, they were in a little plastic bag, saw they were silver but that was that. Wasn’t excited at all until I checked them out at home with my loupe:)

Thanks:) The earring posts and wingnuts are all correctly marked so I’m sure they are genuine. Had a lucky day, won £5 on scratchcards too.

So far my 10 year old granddaughter & 8 year old grandson. My 4 year old funny enough, baked roll/cut out cookies with me, from start to finish & decorated them with me as well. He was super excited, stayed so on task, and listened beautifully. I am an equal Nana, no one gets less or more from us. Always be prepared…

And are those the original earring backs? Now that is impressive.

    From the internet:

"What does AG925 mean on jewelry?
At its hollowware workshop, Tiffany's celebrated silver designs are proudly stamped with “AG925,” denoting the chemical element and its 0.925 purity. This mark does more than ensure authenticity—it is a symbol of the highest quality and expert craftsmanship that Tiffany is known for."

Oh, sorry. Now see the other piece is marked Tiffany. Ignore my posts above.

Tiffany items certainly are a minefield to authenticate.

Haven't been out quite as much this past couple weeks, as the garden has been keeping me occupied. Did manage to find a few things.

This is a Frankoma GOP elephant mug. Dated 1976 on the opposite side. Was $2.00.

This large Hall ball pitcher had this amateur paint job on it. Before and after pics. Was $3.00.

I don't buy a lot of tools but sometimes you just have to. This adjustable forstner bit, in original box, looks like it has never been used. Was $2.00.
    thrifttool.jpg

I see these Apollo glasses a lot and do not usually buy them. The carafe is another story. Will, now, have to look for more glasses to go with. Was $3.00 for the two.

This gold plated Coro Sterlingcraft pin has lost some plating. Still hard to pass up for $2.00.

This porcelain clown jar is only marked, Made in Japan. Head with collar attached is the lid. About 7" tall, I am not sure of the intended use. Have seen the ones with holes in the collar that double as a juicer. This one has no holes but is, otherwise, somewhat similar in form. Can find no others like this one. Anyway, too cute for $2.00.

Any takers on a bet that the auger bit is the most valuable?

I WANT THE APOLLO 13 STUFFS!

    Ahem.

Signed, the teenager who walked round with a transistor radio on her shoulder for days listening to the BBC. Still remember when they went into radio silence coming home. The chutes opened first, and then finally, voices.

And never ever had pop stars on the wall. Earthrise. First thing my other half bought me was a Saturn V model.

Brad, I didn't even know somebody painted that pitcher, that's how much I know about glassware.

However, since I bought my first glug glug/ kluk kluk decanter at a thrift a few months ago for $7, I knew to grab this one at an antique mall for $30 today. What I didn't know is that it's a drunken glug glug with a better stopper. In honor of my favorite uncle, who loved his spirits, I have it on his ashes. I know he is laughing his butt off up there.

This one even had the sticker and both are smoky gray. I can see another collection in my future.
