What have I found for $2?

I have looked carefully for any markings but have not found any.

The stone or glass is just under 3cm and the chain is about 40cm total length.

Thank you for any help / terms.

Appears to be labradorite - it's an inexpensive and fairly soft stone for jewellery so it's usually used with non precious metals (or plated).

    The stone looks like labradorite.

    Drats, sniped again! :pompous:

I think it's dyed shell under epoxy rather than labradorite, and brand harry spankers. Just try getting a new one for $2 though.

If anyone else also feels compelled to google this phrase, be sure 'safe search' is turned on....

:muted::muted::muted::muted::p:p:p:p:p It's Britspeak for "new", but I take no blame for whatever Google coughs up. Especially if you click images. I just don't want to know.

Pottery's piece is definitely shell under resin or epoxy, like I thought.

Looks like it might be an ammolite doublet/triplet,but whoever glued it together did a poor job of it.

Agreed with the others, first look I thought it was shell under a resin, and it's starting to separate a bit (or didn't have a good bond to start). It's definitely trying to channel labradorite, but first clue is probably the closed back. I like the little rings breaking up the line of the chain. They add a nice detail.
