This is a gilt iron "flat" face clock with a New Haven clock mechanism. Garden of Eden scene with the angel, serpent, and Adam & Eve. I'm having a hard time dating it, I think it is mid to late 19th century but the covering over the face of the clock feels like plastic? Can anyone help with an age? Also, is there a name for these type of clocks that are flat like this because I have several more. Thanks so much!

The scene looks like the Expulsion from Eden, not something I would want to be continually reminded of!

Yes, that is exactly what it is! A strange design for a clock I think.

Maybe the angel is just telling them they better get a move on because Tempus Fugit!
