    Hello Antiquers,

I own both this watercolour painting of a cottage and a screen print (?) of what appears to be a wedding ceremony but I have had no luck identifying the artists. The signature on the watercolour is one I find particularly hard to decipher, but I am hoping someone here may be able to figure them out or perhaps might recognize the print image. Any insight would appreciated greatly :) Many thanks

It would be helpful if you posted a photograph of the watercolor artist's signature shot from straight on. Also a photograph of the back including frame and close-up photographs of any stickers, labels and/or hand-written notations.

I beleive I now know the artist who painted the watercolour of the cottages,It is by the artist Lewis Mortimer (1877-1955).The scene is most likely to be of cottages in Cornwall, and he flourished circa 1900-1930.

Wow! Lewis Mortimer is a bit of a stretch for my eyes. But his signature does appear to be a match.

Much of his work is chocolate boxy but this one is not dissimilar to yours.

Wow guys thank you all so much for your contributions. I'm particularly impressed with the identification of L Mortimer, I was just about to take some better pictures of the signature but now there's no need! You're all great :)
    Best wishes
