Antique autographs?

No treasure for the other photo so far. I read Burchill, Miller and Hardacre (and no idea what Edgar W's last name could be), but didn't find any connection with these names (except for a list of photographers' names, but the first names didn't match)

 

"Picked this orig photo of a very young Orson Welles,mine said-'Your obedient servant-Orson Welles'. Poss taken mid to late 30's ?"


That has to be worth some bucks!

 

Yep, there's an audience, but man are they hard to bring out into the light!

 

I sold the photo of Orson Welles 30 years ago to Paul Schrader,the screenwriter of 'Taxi Driver' & 'Raging Bull'-crazy world ?
PS-Glad he got it,but wish I'd had two !

It's kind of interesting to see autographs of my father selling for higher prices lately. This one - Sterling Hayden seen with vera Raltson went for $250. For decades they were worth maybe $25.

 

That is cool that your father is an actor!

Your dad is Sterling Hayden? Wow! My husband and I don't have "our song," but "our movie" which is, of course, Dr. Strangelove. Your dad's scenes are terrific and "precious bodily fluids" has been oft-quoted in our house!

 

I've seen several of your father's films. His performances were memorable. Quite an on-screen presence!
