Featured eye candy!

    found this cut glass basket today - so lovely - wedding? heavy enamel featuring ivy dragonfly and butterfly - magnificent footed base - and it is signed Helicon W&R - basket is large - about 11" tall - I don't think they did cut work on bristol?     Oh thats lovely ! I thought English when i 1st laid eyes on it,for what thats worth. Isnt that Clambroth glass ?

    well yes and no - this is the basket on offerup but I am not the seller - I am the buyer… clambroth or maybe custard- I was thinking English Bristol but this vase is hand cut/carved - which is throwing me off - then the writing is throwing off more…

    btw - I bought it at the ladies house not on offer up - she had a yard sale yesterday - she describes the basket as porcelain in the offerup ad - and says maybe 50 - 80 years old - and I am certai it’s more like 150 years old…

    How could she not tell it is glass ??? But then again,I once bought what I was certain was early 19th century miniature glassware online and the nitwit threw them all LOOSE into a box and shipped them.Not one piece made it.When I questioned her why she shipped that way she replied "I thought they were plastic". You are lucky ,that is a gorgeous piece !
