Came across this a few days ago & loved the title ($5-$10). Didn't buy it,too beat up-they've been making it continuously since the early 1900's.
We Gentiles learned the word 'Mensch' from TV appearances of 'Borscht Belt' Jewish comedians.

The game isn't called "Mensch", it is called "Mensch, ärgere Dich nicht". This one is in German.
We have the same game in Dutch, but it is difficult to translate the exact meaning in English.
I'll give it a try by breaking it up:

"Mensch" can be translated as human being, person, but it is also a way of addressing someone.
"Ärgere Dich nicht" means something like "don't get annoyed".

Thanks AJ.In the states a lot of us think the word Mensch means a regular stand-up guy.Takes care of his family & friends,is dependable-he's not a snob, schnorrer, hoodlum or grifter-he's solid.
PS-'Mensch' is the only word most of us understand here in the States.

Basically the same game as 'Ludo' in the UK, if I remember correctly.

What a marvelous thing to bring from the Old Country and share with the US Grandkids.
