Yes, I noticed that. Much more so than on yours, where it is only incidental. I don't know if it matters either.

I just found a very interesting mention of a glaze like yours in a video I was watching. The video is about modern Japanese ceramic arts and their relation to ancient kilns. At the 35:00 mark a celadon glaze like yours is shown. It’s said to be proprietary to an individual potter/family but I have a feeling they may not be totally correct in that statement. Either way I recommend checking it out.

Also the whole video is great for anyone into pottery and/or modern Japanese art.

Very interesting and informative video. While a fan and familiar with some Japanese studio teacups, I do not always understand some of the bizarre styles and textures of pottery like these, but find a few to be outstanding to my eye. Thanks for posting this.

Regarding the celadon stacking of the ice flakes, this is exactly what I see in the modern item Peter spoke on, but don’t see it occurring in mine. Also notice in video how he literally place rows in single file around the upper outside rims, as opposed to randomized. But again. I am clueless if it is relevant.

some of the stuff is pretty wacky and textural. I agree about not getting all of it but some certainly is striking.

I didn’t recall off the top of my head the differences between yours, peters example, and this one. Just that they weee all somewhat similar. Figured you’d enjoy a look see. It’s a neat visual outcome!
