Featured Help restoring/protecting abalone donkey

    There are some spots where whatever finish was on top has worn down and some areas where the glue dried out. I just want to get it cleaned up and more secure for display.
    I was looking into fish glue, since it seems pretty gentle and reversible?
    But I don't know for sure.

    Welcome Pastrami -I like your donkey & rye shouldn't you ? Hopefully an abalone expert should be by soon.

    Oh, I love this donkey. I found it at goodwill for $4, which was a very good dill.

    I love him.
    I'm sure Elmer's glue would work fine for this.

    I agree w/ Pastracci-Elmer's Glue should be fine.

    being from Montreal....it's smoked meat on rye......so naturally I didn't go there...

    Hide glue and shellac, hide glue is revisable and so is natural shellac.
