Eyes are not glass but comp hand painted, she has a noise maker that is not working, really nice condition. I am thinking 1930s?

Is there anything on the nape of her neck? 30s would be about right.

It's possible she has been restored (repainted and redressed) but if its this hard to tell then they did an excellent job on the repaint. She just seems to mint and eyelashes may be a little off? Composition dolls aren't really my area but either way she is beautiful. I don't really do much with facebook anymore but there are some great antique doll groups on there.

Eyes should be tin, or possibly celluloid.

You don't mention if it is marked or not?

    From shirleytempledolls.com:
"Many parents could not afford a Shirley Temple doll for their children in the 1930s because they were so expensive. So, many companies offered their own version of the Shirley Temple doll (not authorized). If your doll is not marked Shirley Temple, it is probably a look-alike doll."

I still have my mother's Shirley Temple doll, in the Stand Up and Cheer dress. Only the fingertips show wear. Think she was kept on a stand most of the time.
