Instead of painting this orange vanity, I've decided it was a good time to learn a new skill in restoration. While stripping it down I noticed these outlines and tiny holes, which im guessing was tiny drawers? However, i found its kinda better/maybe sibling on marketplace and I see a bit of different but not much. So wondering is the white one on marketplace hardware original? If it does have tiny drawers, does anyone know what they might look like so I can either buy or attempt to recreate? 20240319_171311.jpg Screenshot_20240318-112446_Facebook.jpg 20240319_171339.jpg Screenshot_20240307-111610_Facebook.jpg

Took a couple hours to splash that hideous color on it...an' I'll bet it'll take you 20 hours just to get down to all-wood...an' another 20 to get rid of the tiny bits of orange that will stand out like a diamond in a goats ass everywhere. Very best wishes, an' Good Luck!

Oh, yeah...Welcome here! You're in good company!

    Well. Acceptable, perhaps...
There's an old phrase...about Gilding the Lily. A certain superfluity in a bucket o' paint!

Realized I'm tired and my original didn't make sence. The white one is on fb and the closest I can find and trying to get the right hardware. This is in super rough shape, so decided it was a good practice one. Probably won't sell because I'm the worst at it. Its took a lot of stripping and scrubbing, but a good side project for me

Im loving your enthusiasm ,BUT in the case of both pieces they are mass produced from the 20s-30s and there are eleventy million out there so Id have just repainted it. Seems like that what young people do these days,if they bother to buy anything older. I swore after my last refinishing hell never again !

"Orange Vanity" --- I was thinking maybe this was a thread about a certain US Presidential candidate.

Good point and probably shouldn't worry about hardware, while its very time consuming the learning and the challenge is worth it, plus good way to get my daughter to see and appreciate it. My granma always says everything old becomes new, so you never know

Ok thank you! Does the squares on the top of the vanity look like litte drawers would got there. I love history and antiques so much because every detail really tells a lot about the times and I'm a sucker for early and mid 1900s

Does look like drawer boxes went there. Any holes? If not, they may have been attached to a mirror.

Would have looked something like this....
