I'll probably never find one but this will still be grand on an arts and crafts oak pedestal.....

I can honestly say I certainly won't be melting them. I may be flipping them to an antique dealer who will also not melt them. He's still got an audience for them. The junky , damaged "weighted" sterling one not in the picture is another matter. The world doesn't need one more dented-up piece of tinfoil. So are the damaged sterling earrings I was handed today gratis.

First one of these I've seen in the thrift store in 6 or 7 years.
googling for "bridgeport bottling company" only gives six results.

Allan Sherman's great 1962 Jewish parody of folk singer Odetta's recording of the African-American "Water Boy," which she performed in concert with Harry Belafonte in 1960.

I'm so sorry but I've only just realised that I didn't respond to your post.
The saucer is slightly thicker than the cup but the flowers, figures & gilding are the same on both pieces. I have searched for the mark & only came up with an image with no information.
It can just sit on a shelf and look pretty - yet more stuff to dust!

I have a story about rubies. I do love them, but they just have not worked for me. I lost somewhere in my house a beautiful 14k graduated ruby band that was an anniversary gift from hubby. I squashed a ruby ring by turning the couch over on it looking for it. I chipped a ruby in my favorite rose gold retro ruby ring. I accidentally threw out my Victorian ruby and diamond band. At the end of the day yesterday, I found this fabulous fake. 925, signed d. manis, rhodium plated, czs, a synthetic ruby or red spinel (flouresces pinkish in black light.) $8, I love it.

Johnny, your mocha spoon was designed by Gustav Gaudernack for David Andersen around the turn of the 19th century, not particularly unusual to find different Norwegian makers producing the same or near identical designs, and my personal experience finds it fairly common with David Andersen and Marius Hammer. Lovely piece (bit of enamel loss at top?), I do have a couple of other Gaudernack florals, but not this one...

Hey, Peggy, hope all is well with you and yours. Life has been a bit trying for the last year or so, much has been resolved, but still likely a year or so before my life is back in order and I can sit down and relax - never stopped looking in, just very little time to participate...

I knew there was something going on by some of your previous comments. Hopefully Presh & the various kitties are giving you lots of snuggles to make you forget the situation at least for a few minutes.

We will be all thinking of you!!:kiss:

Technically I believe this is Tiara Yellow Mist Constellation. Originally Indiana only made the cookie jar in clear crystal glass.:happy:

So what kind of cookies are you putting in the jar? ;):hungry::hungry::D

Have had a busy couple weeks. Besides the Buddy Holly poster here in another thread, the pine needle basket for $5.00 in the Tribal Art forum , the furniture in the Thrift Store Furniture thread, and the Weller jardiniere, here are a few more things to show.

These are Fostoria, Dolly Madison..... 8 of the large and 6 of the small. They were half price so I think only about $2.00 for the lot.
    thriftglass52.jpg

This old Hoosier coffee jar was $3.00.
    thriftglass53.jpg

This largish exotic wood box is by a Georgia artisan named Peter Speck.
    speckbox.jpg

These are Lenox Navarre.... 8 of the tall and 6 of the short. All for $3.50.
    thriftglass54.jpg

This orange pitcher was $3.00. Think it is Anchor Hocking.
    thriftglass55.jpg

Two pieces of heavy cut crystal were taped together for $5.00. They do not go together at all. Sorry for the lousy pics.
    thriftglass56.jpg

    This gallon jug was $4.00.
    thriftpot24.jpg

This Aladdin Corinthian lamp was $10.00. Interestingly, a couple days later the same thrift put out 5 more lesser lamps all priced at $20.00 or more each.
