    Hello!
I found this lamp in a little "vintage shop" and would love to know more about it. It was sold with a tiny handwritten tag that said "vintage Marbro Murano glass lamp." This may or may not be true, and to be honest, the label is not very important to me; I just think it's pretty and want to see if I can rewire it to be safe and maybe even find a matching friend for it.

I don't know enough about glass lamp terminology to be able to google easily, so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative!

The glass is a very pale jade green, almost seafoam in some lights and velvety like beach glass. It's kind of matte/frosted like it's been cream etched or sandblasted, and the gold stripes are raised and appear to be hand-painted. To give an idea of the texture of the stripes, I'd compare the size and shape of them to puffy paint from those little squeezy bottles.

Can anyone tell me where this lamp came from? When it was made? What terms I can use to properly describe it?

    Thank you so much!

No shades? Would/could you post a photograph of a plug?

No, there wasn't a shade and the metal arms that are meant to support the shade are snapped off. LampA1.jpg

I tried to post a link to a small photo album, did it go through? I'm new here and still figuring it out :)

Harp. The word you want is harp. It allows the lamp shade to be attached to the lamp base.

This is helpful... According to the internet, that's the old LEVITON logo that was used between 1922 and 1968. Caveat: It appeared stamped on Leviton products after that date.
