Dating an antique desk chair.

Hi all, see attached - I am trying to date and ID this old solid desk chair and get opinions on value. Any input appreciated!

 

Made for ages..... From the teens all the way into the 50s. Later ones are usually in lighter finishes. Often called a courthouse chair but used in all kinds of comercial settings. Have always liked these and they used to have good value. Kind of out of favor now and I have seen similar for as little as $5.00. Here in the Midwest, you often see them in shops for around $25.00 at retail. I am sure you can find them priced quite a bit higher in other locations, particularly in big cities. Mahogany stained versions like yours tend to be less valuable than oak.
