I bought this porcelain bowl at a thrift store and cannot figure out the maker. Also not sure if it is a decal or hand painted. It measures 8 1/2" by 6 3/4". Any help would be appreciated. I'd say it's a hand embellished printed transfer.

Thank you both for that. Hopefully someone will get on who might know what maker as well.

Does anyone recognize this bowl or the raised mark on the bottom of it?

Hi Poppies and thank you. It is really close to the same raised mark, but the one on my bowl is straight on both ends, it doesn't curve out a little in the middle. Would that mean it is a different maker or a newer or older mark?

    It's not actually a mark.

My understanding is that is an additional piece of clay that reinforces the base to prevent sagging, etc.
