    Hello Everyone,
    IMG_3464.JPG IMG_3465.JPG
Be grateful for your views on this signed piece. It's dated 1912 so the marks for 1899-1922 are appropriate. I cannot find any reference to E Drescher whether as an artist or a botanist.

I thought the design might be an early iteration of Flora Danica.

It's 16cm long and 13cms at the widest point.

    Rare or not?

Hobbyist is my guess too. Is the inscription the Latin botanical name?

I think you both have it!

I should have looked to see if the inscriptions were under the glaze. They are not!

The flower pattern appears to have brush marks but it looks to be under the glaze so E Drescher Esq may not have had a hand in that. I must check with a good loupe.

    Any idea about the pattern/model?

It's an orchid. This is the first time I've ever seen a hobbyist painted piece of Royal Copenhagen!

Same here. The painter may have been a professional rather than a hobbyist. People made a living doing the painting.
