Featured My old portrait that I bought.

    I got this a year ago, at the same time that I got a wedding cert from the 1880s. I'd like to believe they are for the same couple but I currently can't prove that.

    The bodies seem to be generic, as are the hands. The faces are the most detailed.

    We put it out last Halloween and it was a hit. :) 20240307_200025.jpg

    That would be wild if that's who it was!

    It's almost like it's done with charcoal pencil or something.

    It may be a crayon portrait or solar enlargement. In a different thread I just posted this link describing those and the process they used to make them. The image you posted is too small for me to tell whether that is what yours is. But if you look at the link you can probably tell.
