Hi, looking for information on an artist by the name of T. Hewitt on this painting. Thank you

 

Kay, you painting has the appearance of decorative art rather than fine art, in which case the name of the "artist" is spurious. This woodland scene is a very popular subject for paintings like yours that come out of a factory rather than a studio. Here's one example. The frame and matting dates it to the late 1960s-early 1970s.

Would help to show a picture of the back as it gives clue to its age. My first thoughts are a decorative factory painting. Hope others can be more helpful.

We always like to see photographs of the front and back of a painting including frame, Kay. There are lots of clues to age and origin to be found on a painting's back. I suspect yours will have lots of staples in the canvas.
