I bought this fairly large oil painting, but i cannot find anything on the artist and I was wondering how it was appraised and if its still worth the same/more/less than what it was originally appraised at 24 years ago. I heard recently from someone that European artwork is dropping in value due to the market being flooded with sales and less demand.

As you have been told on other thread, please post your pictures on this site, not on imgur. Here are instructions..

We prefer that you post your pictures here rather than on another site.

    Here are instructions:

You might want to copy and save this for reference for a while....it helps when you're new!!!

For Future reference, when posting images:

Each image MUST be UNDER 1 MB....
There are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 10 images per post!!! Here are some links to the instructions:

Try emailing them to yourself as "medium" size, they should then be under 1 MB!

    If on the computer:

As an added note, when you have your photos LISTED, BUT BEFORE you hit POST, please click on the wording that says to "INSERT EVERY IMAGE AS FULL IMAGE" !! That way, we're not clicking on little thumbnails, but get to see all of the images full sized!! Thanks! Remember, it takes a bit for MOST new members to get the hang of it, but it's really quite simple once you get used to it!!!" If you still have questions, DON'T hesitate to ASK!!!!

It appears to be an interpretation of Hans Buchner's 'Pensieri.'

Is your work signed "Rosselle" or just attributed to him?

No signature that I can see. Just this blue card that was attached to it that attributes it to him

The internet says Britnell's Diamond Jubilee was celebrated in 1943. Not sure if that's right because the firm was founded in 1873, according to the sticker, and a Diamond Jubilee is 60 years. A Platinum Jubilee is 70 years.

I'm terrible at math but... Wouldn't that make a Diamond Jubilee 1944?
