Featured 5 Vases, 1 Question

    Here's my weekend's haul. All were $10 or less. The small ones were $1 each.

    The small dark blue one is marked "Locke." I've not tracked that down yet.

    But my real question is about this matte brown/black one. As you can see, the sig is under the glaze. I wondered at first if it wasn't maybe a more mass-produced piece, but the inside seems to have the circular lines indicating is was made on a wheel and therefore is more a one-of-a-kind. I can't read the name.

    Any feedback is welcomed. Thank you.

    me as well...but the large one...even though newer....has a very strong presence , and good color ..

    i reckon the matte black is the most interesting piece

    I showed these three larger pieces to a colleague of mine who is a ceramicist. She told me the 'satin' [matte black] one could be made on a form after all, that the shiny one is porcelain-- only porcelain takes a glaze like that-- and that the large one was by far her favorite. I'm learnin'.
