Can anyone give an opinion as to the age and ballpark value of this chest of drawers? THANKS :)

1940s, so called-Duncan Phyfe. Very little value in this condition.

Yep. Faced in mahogany. Good furniture in it’s day, now sadly virtually worthless as noted above.

Family piece - raining today and it's in the shed, so pix will wait. This was from a family house. I can put up more pix if you like, and have a closer look. Worth selling locally? Don't know if I will have the time to do a restoration anytime soon.

    definitely a project piece.....you want gone.....so $45....sounds like a place to start..

& you can take less for someone will to haul it away..

    imo !

    Value is sentimental.

Yes, my mother acquired a lot of "antiques" with the good intention of restoring them but never got around to it. I have a few more old dressers that I will drag out and take photos of.. :)

There's been a collapse in a huge segment of furniture market values.Saw an 1860's chest of drawers a week ago, book matched veneer fronts, handcut dovetails for $40-passed.
If I had a shop or retail space-maybe,but not worth the Ebay shipping hassle or Craigslist coupons clippers.
Most furniture's toxic value-wise these days.

Where is your location? In Seattle area I would ask at least $80 and probably get it.

Right now MCM seems pretty bulletproof, the Arts & Crafts was for a while.
