This is a very cool short movie about her and her sons process in making their pottery. I own a piece and treasure it but I never realized just how intensive the process was. Every single step of the way is by hand and of the earth. So impressive.

I inherited a ten inch bowl my parents bought while visiting San San Ildefonso in the early 1950's . They bought two but my older sister broke one when she was two. My parents had a good eye for quality even back when they had no money. Thanks for the video.

Here’s mine-flea bites but that doesn’t bother me. Thrilled to own it. IMG_2024-03-01-083003.jpeg

Awesome. I love that gradual curve she puts on the tops of vases. Elegant.

What an interesting and educational video! The amount of skill and work that is required to make each piece is astonishing. I hope their craft is never lost to time. And I also wonder what their hourly rate is for their work? Just gathering the clay looked hard. I wanted to give the lady some lotion for her hands (clay dries out the skin). And how does she not have arthritis?
