    I don't know what happened there first time iv posted . I was recently given this jug and wondered if anybody could shed some light on it for me please.

    Two guesses.
    1. Made in Japan, post World War II era when they were struggling with quality production.
    2. Made in Italy, post World War II era when they were struggling with quality production.
    Because I've seen both that look similar.

    Looks to me like whoever made that capitulated quite early in the struggle!

    Now that I un-lazied myself and put the picture into reverse image search, it's bringing up alot hits for Welsh Swansea and Staffordshire.

    I refound one of my favorite websites that I had lost the link for.
