Featured Are these spinel beads?

I thought at first the beads were dyed quartz but they tested in the Jadeite/Spinel on my Presidium gem tester. For a useful comparison, I tested the jadeite bracelet shown in the photo. It tested in that same range but clearly lower than the spinel.

I've tried finding non-faceted spinel beads online to compare and am not finding much other than black. The clasp is sterling and the beads are hand-knotted. Any ideas?

They look like fluorite beads to me.
In fact, I'd put money on it.

Fluorite, search on EBay, China sellers have lots. This pink thread is usual on colored stones, and the clasp is probably not silver

Well, y'all nailed it! Fluorite looks just like it! And, sadly, the clasp is plating over copper. Drat! But I've learned and it will make me more cautious in the future. Those damned cheaters!
