Featured Bali Wood frog mask

This 6.5" x 5.5" wood mask is interesting to me. The teeth, in particular, look like they're crafted with attention.

How old would you guess this is?

What's your opinion as to quality: run-of-the-mill? So-so? Amazingly amazing?

Yeah-- it is kinda old rubber. A bit brittle, as will happen.

I've seen that rubber used on a dance mask from the NWC.....1980....circa.

 

Does look like it may have been actually used. But I will defer to Any Jewelry about age.

 

the nails and leather holding the jaw.....look to have some authentic age...

 

Even if only vintage, that mask is fun as hell. I really enjoy him.

 

The frog dance was only created in 1967, which means I don't know much about it. But that also means that the mask is 1967 at the oldest.

The front looks 'antiqued', so it probably wasn't used. Most Balinese masks were never used.
