Featured Help with old, etched celery vase

Hi all, not my usual thing but loved the engraving. I think it’s a celery vase? Looks all hand made and engraved with some evident glass imperfections - few bubbles and wheel marks. Has a beautiful ring to it.
It measures 21cm high and 10cm wide. Perhaps a polished pontil mark?
Does anyone know how old it might be and likely region? I’m thinking late 19th century English but not sure if it could be a bit earlier and from Australia (where I am) or even American. All help appreciated. Thanks.

 

definitely early - most of these wares had very simplistic names - maybe you could start by searching "butterfly fern glass celery vase spooner .....

I’m not an expert but I think it is prior to early American pattern glass - so a guess is 1840’s - 1870’s

 

If I saw that here, I’d say mid nineteenth. The fern and butterfly etch is typical. It looks typical of Stourbridge made glass, too. How grey is it?

In that case, I’ll stick with mid nineteenth. Earlier glass often looks greyish. That’s a good engraving.
