    Good afternoon!

I hope all is well with you and your families. I have been holding on to these pair of cufflinks for about two years now and for the life of me, I can’t find anything with this mark. I am hoping someone will be able to help me with any information or point me in the right direction. I tried finding the pattern and that didn’t help. Thank you all for looking and for responding to my post. Stay well and be safe.

That scales symbol is most often seen as the International Hallmarking Convention but with the digital indication of silver fineness in the middle. Does not look like the space is big enough to include the numbers. There seems to be more numbers of letters along the side of the other piece or am I seeing things?

I can't help with the mark, but just chimed in to say it looks like they are silver with niello. And they are beautiful.:)

I think in this case it is a maker's mark. Probably American.;)

Thank you for responding Bakersgma. There are no other markings than the scale and I can see brass behind the silver so it's not sterling.

AJ I hope you don’t mind me asking you another question. I have another pair of cufflinks with this image. Any idea what it is and or what it means? I am assuming maybe not NA. There are no markings at all and not purity mark, but it was tested as sterling silver. 16 (1).JPG 16 (2).JPG

It’s a petroglyph. I can’t recall off hand what the representation is, but it’s going to be Zuni or Tohono o’odam or Hopi I’d think. Arizona or New Mexico.

Ditto. I think that petroglyph overlay jewellery was popular in the 1980s.
Or older cultures, often ancestors of today's tribes.

True, Anasazi would be a thought on the petroglyph. I was thinking more which Nation might have made it?

Do you mean the earrings, rather than the petroglyphs? Frankly, I am not sure they are Native made. I never regarded them as NA made. Which doesn't mean a thing, of course.:playful:

I was asking who might have made it, but you answered my question in the second reply. Thank you

I’m clear as mud! Yes, I meant the earring maker.
