Sooooo I went back to the same hoodwill today,and the gods were kind again .



I am stunned as that hoodwill is not in the best area and never has a thing when I go in there ! As we all know its either feast or famine in this game and right now Im feasting Baby !

That did occur to me.I only ever go there when mom has a dr appt across the street. For years,and I do mean years! I never found so much as a vase in there. Thats why this run is even more astounding. Best believe I scoured that place with a fine toothed comb before I went to pay !

I took a quick look at the Russian board of the 925 site: the fierce old disagreements between experts are still going strong, if not much stronger, due to the war in Ukraine. All new research coming from Russia is now deemed suspicious by some— a pity, since the old hallmark records were far from complete. I suspect the war in Ukraine may also affect the desirability/price of even antique Russian silver.

The “A” maker of Johnny’s spoon may not be given an explanation there, but it is still a lovely antique item and an enviable find!

Waiting to hear back from 925. Apparently I was a member 100 years ago and I have zero memory of doing so. When I tried to sign up it kept saying my email was already registered so I had to reach out to the mods.Waiting isnt my strong suit !
