    It's lovely. Personally, see no signs of repair or replacement - rather than cast, it would have been die-struck, the flat back soldered on (vent-holes to prevent heat build-up), and as mentioned, would have been mass-produced. Would guess originally made around 1870s-'80s, but the dies could have been used for many years, the stampings and even the dies could have also been sold to others...
