    Hey everyone

I know absolutely nothing about art, but I did pick up this piece that caught my eye a few weeks ago. I was hoping someone could tell me something (anything?) about it and perhaps might recognize the signature? Many thanks in advance, folks! :)

Or how about Cuenca? There is a city of that name with similar architecture in Equador.

Interesting - thanks guys! I'm going to look into those two..I thought the first letter was a 'G' but it's rather difficult to tell

I've often wondered why 'artists' are so clever that they sign their names in an obscure manner. ;)
Some literally make a name for themselves... ;)

Try googling artist Burnett. Looks this style, often same colour painted signature.

    Geez... Buena? Cuenta? Cuenca? Luena?
I have just made a resolution to print my name clearly on anything I do.
On the nano-chance that I get even vaguely famous years from now, I want credit for the stuff I did in my obscurity!

It reminds me of paintings of Paris Street scenes with the hotel dome in the background. but this has two domes, so it isn't Paris. I was looking for double domes in other cities but haven't had any luck.

I *think* the closer of the 2 domes is topped by a crescent moon. So someplace Middle Eastern?

Of course could be totally something else (including the painter's name). No idea:)

It is quite a coincidence about the dual domes, though.

Looks like decorator art to me, even in a nice frame. I think it's just a scrawl signature typical of the genre.
