Miro style sterling screw back earrings

    Not sure how old these earrings are - the design reminds me of Joan Miro artwork. They are stamped STERLING. The screw back on one is broken off. Not sure if these were enameled filled at one time? They measure approx. 1.25 x 1 in. Are they just worth melt value due to condition? Thank you.     If there's enough of the back left, you can roll it around to make a bail. Turn them into drop pierced earrings. If not, oh well.

    I'd think they were Atomic Era. Late 1940s through the 1950s. Would have been avant-garde at the time.

    You could use the one that still has its post as a pendant, indeed roll the back around.
    And maybe fill that middle 'hole' with some DIY enamel or nail polish?
    Kyratango is a specialist on that matter.
    I love Atomic era design... it would be a shame to just melt it.
