Not thinking huge value on these because the lids are incredibly light weight. Just curious what they would have been used for. Lids are stamped "Sterling".

Not a great photo, but the sides sort of have ridges.

    Very thin top:

They look too small for powder, more likely for lotions.

Most definitely from a vanity set, like mine.

Yes Nov 2021, I kept it, its missing a square jar which I keep doing an eBay search for.
It has a secret drawer at the bottom which contained, gold and silver watches, medals, brooches etc.

    I wouldn't mind this one.

Thanks folks. I knew I was going to get into trouble for not polishing.

Like Davey's find, a friend found a old box at the Goodwill that a secret compartment with a good sized diamond ring in it!. I was so jealous!

Thank you Bakers and Tall Cakes. The glass edges on mine are very similar to the advertisement as well. Sounds like a match. Thanks for posting that.

Hmm . . . Very pretty jars. I'm sure they will look awesome when all cleaned and polished. I was surprised to see the sterling mark stamped right on the outside of the decorative part of the lid rather than an inside edge. Wondering why they did it that way.

I have 2 of these sitting in my one cabinet. I just looked & one is exactly like the one in the top row on the right in the catalog page posted by @TallCakes.

They came along with some other stuff at an auction I went to years ago.

The lids look about the same as yours @Lucille.b so don't feel bad.:kiss:

I probably need to send these to a new home as I hate to polish silver. :p:p:bag:
