Featured Stone ganesh

    Grabbed this fella today. He looks quite old and has a fair bit of wear. I guess he could tell a story or two if he could talk. He's about 13cm tall maybe. Sorry I'm in the pub and don't have my centimeter meter with me.

    I can scratch it with my nails so I guess it's soapstone.

    Which also means it isn't very old.;)
    There is some wear, so maybe 1960s or so.

    I don't know much about the various gods and goddesses of the Hindu religion, but I really like Ganesh for some reason. I'd've picked this one up -- convenient "flat back" so you can easily put it on a shelf or mantle (although I expect it more likely would live in a little shrine).
