Featured Silver negligee necklace

I bought this necklace online, and just when the seller prepared to send it to me, she dropped it! One of the amethyst drops broke in 1000 pieces
Luckily, she had 2 replacements and since the price was right (about the same amount as my Bengel necklace from the previous post), I agreed with it still coming my way.
When I finally got the package this morning, the box it came in was totally crushed!
It looked like someone played rugby with it and afterwards decided to jump on it!
I almost couldn't believe it when I unboxed it, and it came out unscratched!

Its 925 silver with rock crystal and amethyst.
Although originally the drops really looked very similar to the ones it has now, I still might look around for some facetted ones.
I think it would maybe fit better.
Whatever I do, I m still happy this unfortunate piece made its way into my claws
So, what are your thoughts about my necklace?

Lovely, Dessert, very elegant.
I would definitely look for faceted dangles, the contrast between faceted dangles and the rounded cab makes it even more special.

Do you mean the second last picture, the Etsy ad? What happened to the centre loop?

No its the last picture, after the Etsy one (the etsy one was just to show what I mean with faceted drops) You can see metal 'caps' on top of the original drops.
The drops it has now have a metal pin going trough them from top to bottom
(Oh boy...I hope I m making myself clear)

 

Ah yes, I see now. Certainly a more 'finished' setting.

Not as elegant as the caps, but at least the seller came up with a solution, and you came to an agreement.

Bought some lovely coral and seed pearl earrings for a bargain a few days ago, their only flaw is one of them is badly broken

For now I m happy with it though.
And it was right in my price range (cheap!)

 

No, you couldn't, they are beautiful.
Might I suggest folding the little hooks over, in line with the rosettes, and attaching earwires to them? They would look just as pretty as dangle earrings.
