Featured Interesting Photo

I bought this $5 photo because I wanted the period frame. Once I took it out from behind the dirty glass, it became much more interesting. She kinda holds my attention. I find myself imagining her circumstances based on the pic.

The camera was low and shooting upwards to enhance her 'presence'. The image looks posed; I don't think it's a case of whoever took it happened to be sitting down.

 

Yeah, I definitely think it's posed. Presumably some sort of special occasion. Komo's right in that her hands are unusual.

 

Early 50s? Killer dress, especially if that's the fabric I think it is. They don't even make it any more.

 

I'd think 1950s too. Conservative for the time.

It's relatively low cut, so probably on a par with what ladies were wearing.

 

Yes, the necklace is typical of era. But the dress itself is matronly.
