You’ve found some fascinating information . I’m trying to put a date on this piece and my instinct is last quarter of 19th century . Have you any thoughts ?

Does the label indeed say DML?
It looks like more letters

Labels often also indicate what the relic is (bone, veil, cross), so, knowing what the relic is, might help finding out what the label says
