I found this at my local thrift store today & though it's not quite my style when I asked how much & was told I could have it for $30 I bought it.
I did an image search but I can not find another with the cherubs in the circular center at the top? Has anyone seen one like this before?
The top ornate carving and the back feel & look like wood (the carving at top has some breaks & has been repaired; you can see a nail in 1 photo.
But there is a tip broken off on 1 side & it looks like resin? Or maybe it's old glue?
    Is this a real antique?
    What is the style called?
    It is heavy & measures 37" x 24"
Thank you in advance for any help, it is appreciated!
PS - Forgive different photos - a couple taken outside as I left thrift in bright light & rest were taken inside w/my cell phone.

Looking at photos I noticed this writing in pencil - I can see Decor; would a furniture shop write on it like that?
Maybe a mover telling where it goes?

Based on the hardware, which is consistent with the overall patina and materials, this is at least 100 years old. My guess is late 19th to 1910s Rococo revival, but perhaps it's slightly earlier.

    Really fun statement piece!

Wouldn't want to hear the sound the cherubs are making.

Thank you! Ones that came up in image search said Louie XV or French style - only 1 said Rocco - they were all over the place!
    Thanks again.
