Hello all, I’m not sure what the correct term for this style of bead is. They were part of a handle that was on a fancy, bejeweled handbag I got at a resale shop. They feel plastic to me, and were on a plastic non-stretch cord. I doubt vintage but maybe? Love the little chips of color.

    TIA

    Kate

What age was the handbag? Thinking there wouldn't be vintage components on a modern bag unless it was some kind of craft/art piece.

I would call these maybe "plastic embedded with chips". They are cool beads.

Terrazzo beads? Is that a thing?

Bag didn’t seem very old, maybe the beads had been repurposed. Or maybe also not very old. They do seem terrazzo-esque, now that I’ve looked at some samples of that.

    Thanks for your commments!
