Wondering where my little bracelet is from? Kind of resembles the Russian 84 hallmark but this one is marked .925. I assume it’s relatively modern. Not sure if Russia makes .925 now for export? These are some of the tiniest marks I’ve come across and were really hard to photograph. The photo with the hallmark next to the 4” mark is probably the best. Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

THAT was nigh unto IMPOSSIBLE to enlarge, but it's a wee bit larger....to me, I think I see what looks like a dragonfly, but I wouldn't put $$ on it!!
Others may have better eyes to put on it!! In the 3rd picture down, what I see tends to look like a man facing left........regardless, I LIKE the bracelet!

Ditto. In 1985 Russia reintroduced the kokoshnik mark, but with a rounded cartouche.

The photos are very dark though. Daylight photos and a light (white) background are usually best when photographing marks on jewellery.

Thanks Aqua! It is definitely a man or woman facing right. The mark on top of the ruler was the one I captured it most convincingly in. I do love that you saw a butterfly though. The image you used featured the mark upside down which is why you saw if facing left.

So you think it’s likely post 1985 Russian? I did take the photos in bright daylight on a neutral background but not white :). These ones were just more tricky than some. Mostly size but since the findings were so tight to the bracelet segments it was impossible to get a loupe level and centered over them. Having a ruler underneath gave the angle that helped capture them best. Rings are often my biggest mark challenge. Have they invented a periscope style loupe for that yet? I always find myself wishing I had one.
