Two caskets

    DSC07544.JPG DSC07545.JPG DSC07546.JPG DSC07548.JPG DSC07553.JPG DSC07563.JPG DSC07566.JPG DSC07568.JPG DSC07571.JPG DSC07572.JPG I bought several boxes from one person.As the seller stated, he got the boxes from his grandmother, that is, they were supposedly earlier than 1960-50.When I received it in the mail, I saw that they looked suspiciously new in condition, but the design of the boxes was old, and the varnish had old craquelure.The same seller had an old painting, I think, also Europe.And I also got the painting from my grandmother.As they wrote to me, the landscape was drawn from a print by the American company Currier and Ives.Are the boxes old?Is this Europe or America?What is the date of the boxes?

    My initial impression is newer, but made to look old.

    Perhaps a moderator can move this to the Antique Discussion sub-forum, I don't think Art is the appropriate spot. @Bookahtoo
