Could this be the real work of Mikhail Kikoin? I bought the work from a man who supposedly inherited from his uncle, who collected paintings.I bought the work for $10.In general, some of the works in the collection are clearly real, if you take Russian artists. But some doubts arise, you never know what he collected there and from whom he bought)).But the artist is not very expensive?
The signature on the back appears to have an "e" on the end. Perhaps the French painter Michel Kikoine.
Well, yes, this is Michel Kikoine.Does it feel like a real job?Although his watercolors are relatively inexpensive, similar works at auctions sell for between $250-$500, as I looked. But I bought it for $10, a painting supposedly from the old collection of the seller’s uncle, according to the seller.I bought several more paintings from the seller. There are also foreign artists, but I couldn’t read the signatures.Later I will create a topic)). In real life, if you look at a drawing, the drawing gives the impression of old work; painting and paper look old.
That is the same one. Michel Kikoine was born in Lithuania, he changed his name from Mikhail Kikoin to Michel Kikoine.
Unfortunately it is difficult to be sure of its authenticity from an online image. From what I can see, it might be an original of his. But maybe somebody else can suggest a better way to tell.
