This bracelet is almost good to go, but I'm unsure I've got the marks down correctly.

A previous post here helped me with the two patchwork/quilty looking stamps. I want to say the one on its own is the french crab, but I looked at it in a different light and it looks like its actually got 3 letters in the top left?
And the maker's mark, I couldn't find it on the various websites, its either a W or an M on the right there, anyone happen to know it before I move it on as unknown?

    TYIA!

Which post was that, Rachel? Could you post a link?
Yes it does. It is a Moroccan Sultan's assayer mark, so your bracelet is not Tunisian but Moroccan.
This calligraphy style jewellery was made in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
It is just a partial mark, but it could be a Fez mark for 1922.
I don't know of any accessible registers of Moroccan silversmiths, but it wouldn't influence the value or the interest for your bracelet.
Many Moroccan silversmiths were Berber Jews, especially in Fez.

The mark next to the maker's mark looks like an old town mark.

Oh boo I did check for Morocco as well :hilarious:
A seller of a similar one said she thought the character was a stylised Tunis and since I didn't have anything better to go off of I went with it. Thank you for the info! I'll take a closer look at Moroccan marks.

I'll post the link when I get back from dinner!

Hmm, I can't seem to find any moroccan marks online at all....I'd have thought one of the two go to silver sites would have had some! I guess that's why I didn't stick to morocco as an option haha.

Most silver sites focus on Western and/or Chinese silvermarks. Sometimes Turkey, Egypt and some Middle Eastern countries as well. But North Africa west of Egypt is neglected. A pity, because all North African countries are excellent precious metal markers, and have been for quite some time.
Thanks. Yes, that refers to the round cross-hatched marks as North African. Not specifically Tunisian though.
