Date for ring.?

    I was wondering if anybody could possibly date this ring ?
    I found it in the roots of an oak tree that had fallen about 50 years ago

    It is costume jewellery, which is not my forte. Which country did you find it in?

    Looks like fairly typical craft fair stuff. 1960s - '70s?

    It used to be a sixties into seventies twisted brass or copper ring with a mother of Pearl plaque, and adjustable. Often German made.

    I’d give that a good soak in vinegar and see what happens.

    Those little 3-bead prongs were popular in 60/70s jewelry.

    Mother of pearl is way more resistant than pearls. And given the condition it’s in already, it can’t make it worse.

    @Groot you are doing OK with the photos - but - you need to back off so they are in focus. We all has problems with photos at first, you'll get there :)
